As part of my internship with Marble & Canvas—Kansas City Art Institute's first dedicated retail gallery—I was tasked with creating custom fixtures. Collaborating with ceramicists Ellie Lieber and Zo Ulibarri, I created load bearing armatures and bases to sit within the large thrown ceramic columns, ensuring the weight of the stone top doesn't compromise the column. Additionally I fabricated a rotating lock mechanism so the stone tops are removable but secure.
